Time for a new free song and Vblog.
Hey well its that time again peoples!
Yup time to watch another webisode of Danny Echo with a video camera! In this Vblog Danny walks you through his guitar rig, describing all the FX pedals and other gear he uses live and in the studio.
We`re also giving away another free song, but only for 30 days. This months song is a great tune called `Don`t Drive My Heart`, about a woman who takes a naive young boy for an exhilarating joy ride, throwing him aside in the proverbial scrapyard of broken hearts!
The music video for `Tomorrow Today` is coming along nicely. Keep checking back to win tickets to the private viewing of the finished epic blockbuster.
We have a few summer shows in the works one of them being the International Pop Overthrow festival originating from LA. Its a great week of pop rock music at the Railway club, in Vancouver CA.

Music Video! Middle school and Media club shows!
It was an exhausting weekend but despite the rain and gear malfunctions we managed to film our first “real” music video for the single “Tomorrow Today”. The three actors were amazing, the band was looking sharp and thanks to the awesome crew of The Studio Movement it actually looked like a real rock video! Here’s the pictures to prove it.
We will be rocking Kwayhquitlum Middle School in Port Coquitlam on the afternoon of June 10th then heading into Vancouver to play the hip happening Media Club for a 10pm rock fest! If your up for some acoustic pub fare on June 17th at 8pm I will be doing my best singer songwriter faces at Slainte By the Pier in White Rock .

Danny in Portland/30day free song/ June Shows/ music video in the works
I was recently in Portland visiting my friends Catfight and My Anchorage running around keeping Portland Weird! I made a short Vblog about it. Its a great excuse to promote our next FREE song “Not Quite Ready To Lose” available for 30 days on our web site.
We will be filming our first real music video for our single (produced my Jeff Dawson and mixed by Mike Fraser) “Tomorrow Today” on June 6th and will celebrate the final cut with a wicked party in July so stay tuned.

The Bourbon Rocked! Now get our album for half price!!
First off I’d like to send out my deepest condolences to the family and friends of drummer Devon Clifford who passed away Sunday morning at the age of 31. Very sad news.
Thanks to all who came out to The Bourbon in Vancouver on Saturday. Although The Canucks lost to the Kings we were able to cheer the whole room up with our first live performance of “Down To The Letter”! This was such a great night (and we’re still drunk) we’ve decided to sell the digital copy of our album for half price, $4.99! Get it at CDBaby now as this is a limited time offer! What the heck hey?

Well happy holidays everyone!
Thank you so much to everyone who voted for us for Peak Performance Project! We gave it our best shot but we were unable to break the top three.
We are thrilled to have been involved in such an amazing event. We feel we have learned so much over the past six months and have benefited immensely from this experience. As a result of our hard work we have gained more fans, local recognition and the start of a buzz here in Vancouver. We recorded the definitive version of our single “Tomorrow Today”, and we are also now managed by Young Executive Management who have some really creative ideas that we will put in motion in the new year, (it was their idea to cause a minor ruckus on the Canada Line).

If anyone is stuck for ideas on what to get the music lover on their list, our album is available on iTunes, CDBaby, and Amazon.com. If you’re in the Whiterock area Thursday Dec 17th come out to Slainte By The Peir for a nice acoustic night of music starting at 7pm. I will have CDs, T-shirts, stickers and buttons for sale.

Last Thursday we helped 100.5 The Peak start their Peak Performance Project Showcase night off with a Bang!! We had a great old time playing rock stars getting interviewed and runnin round. Now I finally had the time to edit together the last day of recording at Mushroom Studios, in which we put down the vocals on our song Tomorrow Today. It sounds sooo good!!!
You will notice some changes here at dannyecho.com this is normal as we are renovating a bit. If you look up at our menu bar there are links to Myspace, Facebook, Twitter and you can now RSS feed this blog! Next up is the mailing list/free song download link in which you get access to download one song free!! We will add more songs over the coming year so check back often, and of course join our mailing list!
If your in the Vancouver area you can come see us havin a laugh at The Media Club on Oct 27th, The Bourbon on Nov 14th and Slainte by the Pier in White Rock on Dec 17. Come out and say HI! I’ll probably give you a limited Danny Echo guitar pick just for being friendly.
